Agile Scrum Master
We are seeking an experienced Senior Agile Scrum Master to lead and coach Agile teams in a regulated healthcare diagnostics environment. This client-facing, onshore role requires expertise in SAFe, servant leadership, and managing distributed (onshore-offshore) teams.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a Servant Leader and Agile Coach for cross-functional development teams, guiding them in applying Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean principles effectively.
Facilitate core ceremonies: Sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and PI events.
Enable team ownership, accountability, and continuous learning, while driving engineering excellence through Agile technical practices (TDD, BDD, CI/CD, automation).
Ensure delivery visibility with dashboards and metrics (velocity, lead time, quality KPIs).
Collaborate with Product Owners and Stakeholders to ensure transparent communication, delivery alignment, and customer-centric value delivery.
Champion agile transformation initiatives, helping teams embrace agility through maturity assessments and change management techniques.
Support dependency identification and resolution across teams and ARTs, and work closely with the Release Train Engineer (RTE) and COE for alignment.
Strong Jira, Confluence & Mural tools experience required.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to risk and impediment management, addressing delivery challenges with practical solutions.
Facilitate team backlog creation and execution of Scrum events including inception workshops, user story mapping sessions, prioritization techniques, and estimation activities.
Experience in leading Agile teams in a distributed (onshore offshore) model
Required Qualifications
10+ years' experience, including 5+ years as a Scrum Master in Healthcare diagnostics or biotech.
Proven onshore Agile delivery experience with distributed teams.
Strong healthcare/laboratory domain knowledge.
Proven experience in Agile project delivery in a client-facing, onshore setting, managing distributed teams.
Strong understanding of healthcare/laboratory processes and ability to converse with domain and business stakeholders effectively.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification are required.
Strong coaching mindset, analytical thinking, and adaptability to evolving priorities.
Expertise in Agile metrics, Jira, and SDLC/DevOps concepts.
Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to create and maintain Agile metrics dashboards, and facilitate data-driven decision-making for delivery optimization.
