Summary:
The Emerging Experiences team is seeking a visionary Art Director to help bring innovative R&D concepts to life through bold, high-impact visuals. Focused on the cutting edge of XR, spatial computing, and AI-driven storytelling, this role is central to shaping how future technologies are imagined, understood, and communicated.
As an Art Director, you will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and researchers to translate early-stage technology ideas into compelling videos, visual presentations, concept art, and data visualizations. This is a unique opportunity to define the visual language of emerging experiences-before they reach the world.
Key Responsibilities:
Create compelling, memorable videos to showcase prototypes, demos, and future scenarios-often from limited source material, requiring creativity and resourcefulness.
Design high-impact presentation templates and decks that simplify complex ideas with clarity and visual sophistication.
Produce polished concept art and visual comps that articulate early-stage concepts and secure buy-in from stakeholders.
Develop visually striking data visualizations that transform complex information into meaningful, narrative-driven visuals.
Experiment with AI design tools to enhance creative workflows and scale output.
Work in close partnership with a small, cross-functional team at the forefront of XR and spatial computing to shape projects from inception to delivery.
Champion a creative, experimental approach to storytelling, exploring new formats, mediums, and styles.
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in design, art direction, or visual storytelling across multiple media (video, graphic design, presentations, concept art).
Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere) and presentation tools (Keynote, Google Slides, PowerPoint).
Portfolio that showcases both high-polish visuals and fast-turnaround, iterative content.
Proven ability to craft engaging visual narratives for technology products, emerging platforms, or innovation concepts.
Comfortable working independently and in tight collaboration with creative and technical partners in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Impeccable attention to detail, composition, visual hierarchy, and brand alignment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in XR, spatial computing, immersive media, or gaming.
Familiarity with 3D tools like Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, or Unreal Engine for motion and prototyping.
Strong storytelling instincts with the ability to tailor tone and style to different audiences.
Comfort navigating early-stage, evolving projects with minimal definition.
