Art Teacher
Summary
The New Bedford Public Schools is seeking a full-time Visual Art Teacher to complement our growing team of arts educators
Responsibilities
Be a creative and innovative educator with a philosophy that all students can demonstrate artistic skills and habits of mind
Have strengths in arts integration and visual thinking skills, possess knowledge of various movements, styles and world cultures' art.
Educators should have positive classroom management techniques, be responsive to student diversity, enjoy working in an urban setting and work well with colleagues, administrators and parents.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with colleagues, administrators and parents
Qualifications
Licensed by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
A demonstrated belief that each and every student can achieve at high levels.
A demonstrated dedication to lifelong learning, reflection, and continued personal and professional growth.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Terms of Employment
Reports to: School Principal
Rate: In accordance with the Unit A contract found here
