Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), a non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia, seeks compassionate, caring, and dedicated individuals to become full -time Behavioral Health Technician IIs to our clients living with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and mental health challenges residing in our Adult Crisis Therapeutic Home (CTH) located in Woodbridge, VA.

*Full-time positions comes with a sign-on and retention bonus of $2000*

We are hiring for:

  • 7AM-3PM, Thursday - Monday
  • 3PM-11PM, Thursday - Monday

What You’ll Do

The Behavior Technician (BT) supports individuals at the Adult Crisis Therapeutic Home who have co-occurring disabilities and/or behavioral health needs. Depending on your BT level, responsibilities may include facilitating daily programs and rehabilitative activities, providing therapeutic interventions, and assisting with personal care. As a member of the REACH team, you will work closely with participants' primary care providers, community crisis services, and families to ensure comprehensive support for those referred to the home.

We offer set shift schedules and paid training for completing the required courses below to provide you with key skills to help serve our clients: 

  • CPR / First Aid
  • Crisis Intervention - Mindset Training 
  • Medication Administration / Seizure Management / OSHA / Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP)

What We’re Looking For

To join our team as a Behavior Technician (BT) II you must have experience working with IDD/Behavioral Health (BH) disorders. We also require the following:

  • Minimum education levels with BH experience:
    • BT 2: Bachelor’s degree in Human Service field of study, or QMHP (trainee), or qualify for QMHP
  • Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
