Early Careers: View of Risk Advisory Analyst Trainee As an Analyst Trainee, you will help insurers understand risk from natural disasters like earthquakes and hurricanes, by quantifying potential losses using catastrophe models, evaluating differences in hazard and vulnerability assumptions in the model, and assessing the impact of these differences on loss. You'll use catastrophe models to analyze data and create clear visuals and reports for teams and clients. Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Climate Science, Civil Engineering, or other similarly technical or analytically oriented major or equivalent experience. Our colleagues will: Run catastrophe modeling software to analyze client, industry, and notional portfolios to support Aon's evaluation of licensed catastrophe models. Support catastrophe model evaluations in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America under the direction of the View of Risk Advisory Peril Leads. Investigate catastrophe model exposure and losses to assess key drivers of model differences. Digest and summarize technical information from catastrophe model documentation or other scientific research papers. Interact with claims data and publicly available data sources from NOAA, USGS, and USFS to validate catastrophe model components. Create professional reports and visualizations to clearly communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders Assist clients in the understanding of catastrophe risks, sensitivity studies and added analytics based on catastrophe model results What sets our program apart from the rest?
