As we continue to grow and evolve, we’re seeking a  Civil/Structural Engineer to take charge of our structural engineering team. This is a high-impact role with direct influence on product quality, team development, and strategic direction.

About the Role

As the Civil/Structural Engineer, you’ll be the technical leader for our structural and mechanical design efforts. Working closely with cross-functional departments—including manufacturing, sales, service, and installation—you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our engineering standards and product delivery. You’ll lead a small team of engineers and collaborate with senior leadership to drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence across the board.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a small on-site engineering team (1–2 direct reports).
  • Provide cross-functional engineering support across departments including manufacturing, sales, service, and installation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in design practices, production processes, and quality control.
  • Create and review approval and shop drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Perform structural and component analysis in accordance with CMAA standards using proprietary tools and Excel-based resources.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and production readiness of team design outputs.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide preliminary engineering support for customer quotations.
  • Requisition necessary structural and mechanical components for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel-based engineering tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship experience.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Houston, TX (on-site role, no travel required).
