Are you a tech-savvy problem-solver who loves turning creative ideas into real-world interactive experiences? The Great Escape Room is seeking a Computer Networking and C++ Programming Specialist to join our team full-time at our Longwood, Florida workshop. This is not a remote position.
You’ll play a key role in bringing our escape room experiences to life—from concept to fully functioning, immersive props. You’ll design and program custom control systems, integrate technology into physical puzzles, and ensure all networking systems run smoothly across multiple locations. Some travel will be required for installations, troubleshooting, and support at our escape room sites.
Design, code, and troubleshoot custom programs in C++ for interactive props and game systems
Build and maintain network infrastructure across escape room locations, ensuring reliable connectivity
Diagnose and resolve networking issues , outages, and communication failures between devices
Collaborate with designers, fabricators, and scenic artists to bring new game concepts to life
Manage hardware integration for sensors, microcontrollers, lighting, sound, and other control systems
Maintain documentation and version control for all projects
Strong experience with C++& Python programming and hardware integration
Extensive knowledge of network setup and troubleshooting (wired and wireless systems)
Proven ability to take a project from concept to completion
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Enthusiastic, creative, and excited about hands-on project development
Experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar platforms is required
Willingness to travel for on-site room installations and technical support
We maintain a small shop, so cross-training is expected. You may be asked to train & assist with our CNC machine, light carpentry and other tasks associated with our build and installations.At The Great Escape Room, we combine technology, creativity, and storytelling to deliver unforgettable experiences.
