Job Description

Perform the role as electrical controls technician, by working well with others as well as working alone on a project, whether it be to run a simple circuit for a 20-amp 120-volt receptacle, install an 1800-amp primary service, transformer and switch gear, design, build and install a PLC based control panel, PLC programming, or install high efficiency lighting.

Should be able to troubleshoot analog and digital control circuits, repair and calibration of instruments, control valves, transmitters. Will monitor, maintain and trouble-shoot control loops, instruments, and/or entire control systems.

You will assist in the development of electrical and controls system design solutions based on engineering principles and involvement in presentation of the solution to the customer. You will perform electrical hardware and software design of customized solutions including manufacturing automation and safety systems and create HMI screens.

Requirements

Strong Communication, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
Professional
Trade School (or equivalent)
A minimum of 3 years of electrical controls experience, time as a journeyman, or instrument tech could be substituted for experience.
PLC programmer and developer utilizing platforms such as Allen-Bradley (A/B) RS Logix, Koyo, Modicon, Siemens, etc
Troubleshooting various types of machinery with different controllers and relay logic
Reading Electrical Schematics
Designing control panels
Machine troubleshooting ability
Ability to design and install control panels, PLC based, write ladder logic programs
Skilled at installing conduit and wire
Interfacing with HMIs
Determine machine sequence of operations
Program given control system
Work in manufacturing environments, not just behind a desk
Troubleshoot an electrical issue from start to finish without the use of schematics or clear information from the operator or customer

Pay: $26.00 - $33.00 per hour
