**Job Title: Groundskeeper** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to maintain the beauty and cleanliness of our outdoor spaces. This role involves various landscaping tasks, including lawn care, plant maintenance, and snow removal, ensuring our grounds are pristine and welcoming. **Responsibilities** + Inspect assigned areas and perform litter control, leaf removal, weeding, pruning, mowing, and string trimming as needed. + Collaborate with Landscape Technicians on group projects. + Conduct planting, deadheading, and thinning of plant materials. + Apply periodic fertilization and pre-emergent control under supervision. + Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and watering to maintain healthy turf. + Provide plant care, including planting, pruning, and trimming of trees, shrubs, and flowers. + Remove weeds from gardens, flowerbeds, and landscaped areas. + Clear leaves, litter, and other debris from grounds and pathways. + Remove snow and ice from walkways and parking lots, including on-call duties during winter precipitation events. + Operate lawnmowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment safely. **Essential Skills** + Experience in groundskeeping and general labor. + Proficiency in lawn care and ability to perform physically demanding work. + Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Adaptability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Preferred verifiable experience in lawn care or gardening. **Why Work Here?** Joining our team as a permanent employee offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and a 401k plan. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of grounds throughout the university, which may entail getting dirty depending on the tasks. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomington, Indiana. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
