Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, with a focus on customer service and quality workmanship. This role requires expertise in various mechanical systems, including farm machinery and tractor-trailer units. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair diesel engines, including brake systems and other mechanical components.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• basic understanding of automotive maintenance and repairs, as they will inevitably encounter these throughout the day.
• Work on farm machinery, ensuring all systems are functioning properly.
• Operate cranes as necessary to assist with repairs or maintenance tasks.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and recommendations.
• Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, including brake repair and suspension systems.
• Ability to transmit technical information clearly to customers and team members.
• Familiarity with operating cranes and other heavy machinery is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
