You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Tempe, AZ location on an onsite work schedule. In this role, you will impact our Aerospace business unit by providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of our engineering processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and implement best practices. Your attention to detail and ability to solve complex problems will be instrumental in meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality results. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES + Lead a team of technicians and provide technical guidance and support. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of engineering processes. + Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions to ensure the quality and efficiency of engineering processes. + Drive continuous improvement and implement best practices. + Meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results. **YOU MUST HAVE** + H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent + Must have 1 year of laboratory work experience + Must have 1 yr of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat experience **WE VALUE** + Prefer at least 3 years of laboratory work experience + Prefer at least 1 year work experience in metallography including experience with optical microscopy, metallographic sample preparation, and hardness testing. + Understanding of standard analytical laboratory techniques and general metallographic principles, specimen preparation, etchant preparation and use. + Knowledge of and experience using hardness testers. + Demonstrated experience in optical microscopy. + Must be able to cope with high demand production critical environment + Awareness of safe laboratory practices, including proper procedures for handling, storage and disposal of strong acids, bases, volatile solvents, toxic chemicals; and an understanding of their hazards. + Must be able to interface with engineering personnel to resolve technical issues. + Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing both conversational & technical English. + Customer focused.
