Job Description
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and logistics activities. Your primary responsibilities will include the preparation and fulfillment of orders, ensuring accurate shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining quality control standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to solve problems efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
+ Review outgoing orders, pick items from inventory, verify quantities and product codes, and prepare shipments according to company policies and customer requirements.
+ Generate, review, and maintain various shipping documents such as waybills, packing lists, customs declarations, and bills of lading, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines for domestic and international shipments.
+ Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers, communicate shipment details, and resolve scheduling conflicts to guarantee on-time transport.
+ Inspect packed shipments for accuracy and damage, verify that products match orders and are in good condition, and ensure that packing procedures meet safety and quality standards.
+ Address shipping issues such as damages, incorrect orders, lost shipments, or delays by liaising with customer service and carriers to resolve complaints and provide timely resolutions.
+ Ensure shipments comply with all local, national, and international regulations, including export controls, hazardous materials, and customs requirements.
Essential Skills
+ High School diploma
+ 2-5 years of related experience in shipping/logistics
+ Experience with courier software such as FedEx, UPS, and DHL
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ International/exporting shipping experience
+ Valid TDG and IATA certification or expired within the last 3 years
+ Continuous improvement experience and education in LEAN or 6 Sigma
+ Knowledge of Syteline ERP
Work Environment
in logistics and an understanding of both domestic and international shipping protocols. The environment is fast-paced, requiring attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

This is a Contract position based out of Torrance, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.68 - $21.68/hr.
