Job Description

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Ocean Import & Export Coordinator, with a heavy focus on export operations, to join our growing logistics team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of international shipping documentation, carrier coordination, and export compliance. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate movement of goods, especially outbound shipments to Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Key Responsibilities Export Operations (Primary Focus - 70%) + Prepare, review, and process export shipping documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, SLI, and export declarations. + Coordinate ocean export bookings with freight forwarders and carriers. + Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations, including AES filing and documentation accuracy. + Track and trace outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and proactively communicate delays. + Monitor container loading schedules and work closely with warehouse teams to meet cutoff dates. + Serve as the point of contact for overseas clients, customs brokers, and freight agents on export matters. + Maintain export documentation and ensure accurate filing for audits. Import Operations (Secondary - 30%) + Assist in processing import shipments including coordinating with customs brokers and ensuring timely clearance. + Review and file import documentation (ISF, BOL, customs entry, etc.). + Verify freight and duty charges for accuracy and coordinate payments. + Support compliance with applicable U.S. Customs and partner government agency requirements. Requirements + 2-4 years of experience in ocean import/export logistics, with a strong focus on export operations. + Strong knowledge of Incoterms, international shipping procedures, and U.S. export compliance. + Experience working with freight forwarders, steamship lines, and customs brokers. + Familiarity with AES, ISF filing, and international documentation. + Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and logistics platforms (e.g., CargoWise, Descartes, or similar). + Excellent organizational and communication skills. + Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. + Bilingual skills (Chinese, Spanish, or other languages) a plus.
