About the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI) :
The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI) is the State planning agency for criminal justice, juvenile justice, traffic safety, and victim services. The institute develops long-range strategies for the effective administration of Indiana's criminal and juvenile justice systems and administers state and federal funds to carry out these strategies.
 The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute is the designated State Administering Agency for Federal Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime, Office of Violence Against Women, and Department of Health and Human Services grants within Indiana. These sources of funding are the largest sources of funding for local entities and agencies that provide direct services to victims of crime, including domestic violence and sexual assault. 
Further, ICJI is responsible for coordinating and collaborating with local, state, and federal entities to identify, assess, plan, resource, and evaluate new and emerging issues facing the criminal justice and public safety spectrum. ICJI works with local, state, and federal entities to evaluate programs associated with the prevention, detection & solution of crimes; law enforcement, and criminal/juvenile justice, to improve and coordinate all aspects of law enforcement and criminal/juvenile justice. The agency evaluates policies, programs, and legislation designed to address these issues. ICJI is designated as the State Administering Agency for distribution of federal funds, and as the State Statistical Analysis Center for research About the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI).
Role Overview :
This position functions as paralegal to the agency. As part of the agency legal team, the position is primarily responsible for providing legal services and administrative support to the Legal and Executive teams.The ideal candidate will work with multiple divisions within the agency on a wide variety of projects including grants, policies and procedures and legal documents for filings. Proficiency in legal research, and third party discovery requests will be essential to the success of the applicant. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. This position is in-person and not eligible for remote work.
 Salary Statement  : 
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
