Job Description

Are you a problem-solver looking for a strategic consulting role that blends leadership, technology, and relationship-building in the maritime sector? If so, read on!

About Us

If it’s high-stakes, high-security, or highly complex—Oxalis is built for it. We’re a consulting and technology partner for the organizations that keep the world running: shipyards, government agencies, health systems, aerospace programs, and manufacturers with missions too critical to fail. We serve the people behind the mission—those building, healing, defending, and delivering where it matters most. As a Platinum Solution Partner for Atlassian and a trusted systems integrator for IFS, we specialize in secure cloud transformation, IT service management, ERP modernization, and operational strategy—especially for organizations navigating compliance-heavy environments and complex change.

About the Opportunity

We're seeking a motivated Principal Consultant to manage our on-going relationships with our Maritime customers where you drive account strategy, guide high-performing delivery teams, and shape new opportunities to modernize how these vital organizations operate.

This is a strategic leadership role focused on customer success, engagement growth, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of maritime and naval sector customers, ensuring high satisfaction, renewal, and expansion
  • Drive solution design and execution—from initial scoping to post-implementation support and enablement
  • Lead discovery and engagement efforts, identifying new opportunities for products and services
  • Partner with customers to uncover operational challenges and improvement opportunities, offering recommendations and insights informed by best practices and industry trends
  • Analyze and assess business processes, systems, and workflows, identify gaps, and contribute to the prioritization of process improvements
  • Lead teams of consultants and technical specialists, setting direction and ensuring excellence in delivery

About You

  • Prior experience in a highly regulated industry, with experience in maritime highly preferred.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, with strong team and engagement leadership
  • Proven track record of growing accounts and securing repeat business through exceptional service delivery
  • Ability to work in a remote environment, and travel to company and customer sites such as shipyards from time to time
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience or understanding of Agile concepts and work in relevant frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, DevOps, ITSM)
  • Experience with Atlassian products, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Jira Align, Confluence, Bitbucket, Trello, and Access
  • Knowledge of project management concepts and tools
  • Hands-on experience with IFS products and modules, or other ERP systems, in both remote and cloud deployments
  • Experience in enterprise program governance, project and portfolio management, and PMO’s
  • Certifications and accreditations in Atlassian, IFS, SAFe, ITIL, and PMP

Why Work For Us?

Join Oxalis and be part of a team that’s transforming how regulated industries operate through cutting-edge solutions. Here, leadership means driving innovation and owning your impact; empathy shapes our collaborative, people-first culture; growth is constant as you develop alongside brilliant minds; quality defines everything we deliver; and curiosity fuels our drive to solve complex challenges. If you're passionate about making a real-world difference and thrive on pushing boundaries, Oxalis is where your journey begins.

This is a remote position and while the person will be working from home, it is important that Candidates live in the Portland area. (We will also consider San Diego, CA, Seattle WA, and Norfolk VA)
