Property Accountant

 Position Overview: 
 The Property Accountant will be responsible for managing accounting records, preparing financial analyses, and supporting reporting for a portfolio of real estate assets. This role requires treasury management, reconciliations, AP/AR oversight, and close collaboration with vendors, clients, and internal teams. 
Key Responsibilities:
Perform treasury functions including cash transfers and wire approvals.
Maintain accounting records for multiple properties.
Oversee AP/AR functions and ensure accuracy of transactions.
Prepare financial analyses including margins, receivables, and payables.
Assist with monthly financial reports, investor reporting, and management reporting.
Record transactions, reconcile balance sheets, and perform bank reconciliations.
Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
Analyze spreadsheets and provide reporting insights.
Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2–3 years of accounting experience required.
CPA preferred but not required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; exposure to QuickBooks, Rent Manager, or Yardi a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills, accuracy, and accountability.
Ability to manage large data volumes and changing priorities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
