Job Description

Marina Lounge in Suisun City, CA is looking for one server/waitstaff to join our 10 person strong team. We are located on 700 Main St Suite 106. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities :

Setting the Table:

• Prepare tables with clean linens, utensils, glassware, and other necessary items before service.
• Ensure tables are arranged and stocked appropriately for various guest needs.

Presenting the Menu and Assisting Guests:

• Greet guests warmly and provide an overview of the menu, including daily specials and seasonal offerings.
• Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and dietary accommodations.
• Offer recommendations to enhance the dining experience based on guest preferences.

Delivering Food and Beverages:

• Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring guest preferences and special requests are communicated to the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously, ensuring presentation standards are met.
• Constantly monitor tables to anticipate and fulfill guest needs, including refilling drinks and clearing empty plates and glasses.
• Learn and memorize food and drink menus to confidently recommend items and answer guest questions.

Providing a Great Customer Experience:

• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries or concerns, ensuring any issues are resolved effectively.
• Collaborate with team members and other staff to provide seamless and efficient service.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization standards throughout the service area.

Qualifications

Skills & Attributes:

• Strong communication skills with the ability to actively listen and engage with guests.
• Multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.

Experience:

• Prior experience as a Server, Waitress, or Waiter is a plus but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service is an advantage.

Other Requirements:

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.

Training Requirements:

• Food Safety Certification : Discuss the importance of certification from the National Restaurant Association for food preparation, serving, and storage.
