Job Title: Staff Accountant (CPA or CPA Candidate)
Salary Range: $90k-$100K

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join a growing finance team. The ideal candidate will hold a CPA license or be an active CPA candidate and possess a strong foundation in GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior finance leadership and gain exposure to all aspects of the accounting cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and month-end close activities
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation
• Perform variance analysis and explain fluctuations in financial performance
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Assist with fixed asset management and depreciation schedules
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and the implementation of accounting systems
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and other ad hoc financial analyses
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA licensed or active CPA candidate (required)
• 1–3 years of accounting experience (public accounting experience a plus)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Costpoint) preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or in a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
