Job Description

Position Summary: Responsible for assisting the logistics department in receiving incoming goods and materials to support manufacturing line set and BMW shipping activities in cooperation with the materials planning department. This includes accurate and timely data entry for all inventory movement transactions in SAP.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs duties as assigned by Logistics Manager or Inventory Planning & Control Supervisor.
• Provide support for HZD as needed.
• Support Material Planners as needed.

Receiving Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Coordinates the packaging replenishment process. Coordinates transportation of returnable/expendable dunnage.
• Monitor and participate in the cycle counting program in the plant to assure SAP inventory accuracy.
• Post inventory adjustments when justified and maintain all adjustment documentation.
• Track and document all supplier ASN failures-enter the ASN manually when necessary and communicate failures to the supplier delivery adherence coordinator.
• Create and process SAP Sales Orders, Delivery Notes and BOL for Service Parts, Replacement/Reorders, Test Parts and miscellaneous shipments.
• Performs NAFTA & U.S. Customs reporting duties as required.
• Prepares all SAP entries for Purchase Orders for Logistics.
• Monitors IPC changes and insures they are implemented.
• Performs the SAP receiving function for production parts.
• Coordinates delivery of incoming sea containers from the South Carolina Inland Port to ZF Duncan with the freight forwarder and the ZF Logistics Supervisor.
• Compliance with all Internal and External Production Quality Management Systems and Group Directives.
• Coordinates with the freight forwarder the return of empty sea containers and scheduling of dunnage shipments as needed from ZF Duncan or ZF HZD.

Shipping Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Daily cycle counts of production parts to assure SAP inventory Accuracy.
• Pulls required PN2 orders, prepares for shipment, loads on trucks, and performs required SAP transactions.
• Prepares small package and miscellaneous shipments and documentation for Fed Ex Express etc.
• Prepares BMW Test and Development orders and preforms required SAP transactions.
• Monitor Service part Inventory as needed.
• Check, count, and put away PN2 dunnage.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Excellent Verbal and Written Skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and must demonstrate very good Microsoft Excel skill set.
• SAP experience and MRP knowledge.
• Strong data input accuracy and detail oriented.
• (3) Years’ experience in an Automotive JIT/JIS logistics or materials management environment.
• HS diploma
• Ability to operate a forklift.  

Preferred Skills and experience:

• Associate's degree
