Description

The Surgery Scheduler serves as the primary contact for the physician and patients to coordinate and schedule their surgeries, follow up appointments, and any other required appointments as determined by the physicians.

Essential Functions

• Coordinates and schedules surgeries, all pre and post-surgical appointments, and any other requirements as requested by the physicians.
• Provides excellent customer service to our patients and team members.
• Obtains surgical insurance authorizations and documents in chart prior to surgery.
• Completes all surgical documents for workers compensation and disability.
• Routes all paperwork as needed to meet physician, TOSC and hospital requirements.
• Maintains strictest patient confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA regulations and completes required staff training.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer/patient service
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Surgery Scheduling experience preferred
• Medical Office experience strongly preferred

Wage Range: $19.07 to $31.07
