Due to growth, DISTek has an immediate opening for an on-site Software Test Engineer located in Des Moines, IA. Please join us for an exciting and challenging career that a growing, high-technology company can offer! Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for troubleshooting Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems. Creating and executing test strategies based on requirements. Performing analysis and creating comprehensive test reports based on testing results. Analyze CAN logs to search for inconsistencies. Ensuring quality software and electrical components are developed for off-highway vehicles and vehicles parts. Utilizing Simulink, Veristand, and NI LabVIEW software solutions to control HIL systems. Interfacing with customers to help develop and meet requirements. Required Qualifications: ~ Bachelor’s degree in electrical, software, or computer engineering; or related field. ~1-2 years of demonstrated experience with software testing. ~ Experience or understanding of CAN J1939 or other communication protocols. ~ Knowledge of Model Based Software Development (MATLAB/Simulink). ~ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with TestStand and/or NI LabVIEW. Ability to work on a team. Experience troubleshooting and debugging software. Experience with HIL (Hardware in the Loop) or SIL (Software in the Loop) testing. Desired Qualifications: Understanding of electrical systems and schematics. Previous experience in the off-highway industry. Experience working in an Agile environment. Familiarity with embedded C/C++ programming.
