Job Title: Travel Contract – Registered Nurse – PACU

N umber of positions:  1

Years of experience:  One to three years

Shift: Night shifts– 36 hours 

Duration:  13 weeks

Expected Start Date: Jun 21, 2025

Expected End Date: Sep 21, 2025

Hourly Pay: $78.62

JOB DESCRIPTION ​​

 

  • Department: PACU (RECOVERY)

  • Shift Timing : 19:00 - 07:30 M-F, 3 days 12 hour shift

  • Per Week: 36 Hours

  • Start times can be 1500/1900 either of these

Responsibilities

  • ​Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
  • Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
  • Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
  • Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.​

 

Qualifications

 

  • BLS and ACLS

  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)

  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

  • The ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Strong technical skills.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Passionate about patient care

  • Requires a minimum of two years of current PACU RN experience.

  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program

  • Active unencumbered RN California state license

  • One year of Epic experience

  • Five years

    Must have ICU experience

  • PACU Experience in Trauma level 1 or 2.

  • PACU Inpatient exp

  • PEDS Exp NIH-Stroke S

Requirements

· COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.

  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
