About Us
New Wave Wine Co. is a Portland-based importer and distributor dedicated to showcasing the true spirit of French wine. Our portfolio features over 80 independently owned estates spanning both iconic and lesser-known regions. Each producer shares our commitment to organic and sustainable farming, small production, estate-owned and produced, and crafting wines that express an authentic sense of place.
We’re looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Wine Sales Representative to grow our distribution channels in the Portland market. This is an exciting opportunity to represent one of the most distinctive and respected collections of natural and small-production wines in the Pacific Northwest.
About the Role
The Wine Sales Representative will drive sales growth and strengthen relationships with on- and off-premise accounts throughout the Portland area. You’ll manage an established route with a strong foundation of existing customers while actively expanding the market through new account development, tastings, and educational events.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional who is passionate about and educated in French wine and thrives in an independent and entrepreneurial environment. You’ll represent one of the Pacific Northwest’s most distinctive portfolios of natural and small-production French wines with strong growth potential and the opportunity to shape your own success.

What You’ll Do
Drive growth by identifying and securing new accounts while strengthening existing partnerships.
Cultivate long-term relationships with restaurants, retailers, and key buyers across the Portland market.
Expand the portfolio’s reach by opening new accounts monthly and developing trusted partnerships with engaged, like-minded customers.
Champion our French producers through tastings, staff training, and educational events that increase visibility and engagement that bring the stories and spirit of our French portfolio to life.
Collaborate creatively with accounts to host events and participate in community-focused initiatives.
Develop smart sales strategies that drive growth, profitability, and visibility for our wines and producers.
Deliver professional sales presentations that showcase our portfolio’s story, value, and authenticity.
Demonstrate deep product knowledge—from regional nuances and winemaking techniques to estate history and philosophy.
Invest in continuous learning, staying current with market trends in Portland and expanding expertise in French and natural wines.
Represent New Wave Wine Co. at trade shows, portfolio tastings, and consumer events with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Host visiting producers, introducing them to accounts and supporting in-market visits creating meaningful experiences that strengthen our partnerships.
Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales goals, while managing mileage and expense budgets responsibly.
Be flexible—some evenings and weekends will include tastings or special events that make this work so rewarding.
