Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Retail Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. The Retail Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient counseling, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. This role requires strong communication skills, a high level of accuracy, and a commitment to excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: Accurately dispense prescription medications to customers according to physician instructions. Provide professional advice and counseling to patients on the safe and effective use of medications. Review prescriptions for accuracy, proper dosage, and potential drug interactions. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations. Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation. Supervise pharmacy technicians and provide guidance on daily operations. Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and checking for expired medications. Assist customers with over-the-counter medications and other health-related products. Stay up-to-date with new medications, industry developments, and best practices in pharmacy care. Requirements: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state pharmacy license. 2+ years proven experience as a pharmacist, preferably in a retail setting. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs, their uses, and potential interactions. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in pharmacy software and computer systems. Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing pharmacy operations. Additional certifications in immunization or medication therapy management. Work Environment: Standing for extended periods.
