Under the general direction of the SSM II, the SSM I will supervise a unit of Associate Government Program Analysts (AGPAs) that work with policy and technical team members to engage with local governments, joint power authorities and other entities to assess the need for broadband infrastructure to enable adequate internet and data services in California. Will independently conduct outreach efforts within a designated region of the state by presenting information about the program to government entities, businesses, non-profits, the public and service providers. As a team and project supervisor, identify broadband deployment and adoption needs within a region of the state and work with staff and prospective grantees to secure grant funding and support the project as it is being built.

This position requires travel.

This is a hybrid position that will require the selected candidate to report to their assigned headquarter office a minimum of two (2) days a week. Hybrid positions may be eligible for telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. In accordance with CPUC Telework Policy, telework arrangements are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time.

  • One through two years administering or overseeing public assistance programs or grants.
